Home Court Advantage was founded to provide the youth of today the qualities necessary to emerge into our society as productive and team oriented individuals. In this ever changing global community, life is steadily increasing in pace, obligations, and contact with others. The time tested values of hard work, discipline, respect and ability to work with others still hold true today. Our flagship service mycamp is designed to reinforce these values in a competitive environment.


mycamp wants to give your program the quality of a team overnight camp without large travel expenses or time commitments.

Coaching Staff and Founders

Tanya White


Played for 2 seasons at Los Angeles Pierce College while attending USC. In her first season she was a part of the Western State Conference Championship team and was First Team All Conference. She was also team Co-MVP. In her second season she was a part of the 4th straight WSC Championship team, and part of the program’s first appearance to the California State Championship Tournament. She was First Team All Conference, the WSC’s Volleyball Most Valuable Female Athlete, First Team All State, and Team MVP.

During Graduate School she played 2 seasons for Cal State Los Angeles. During her first season she was a member of the program’s first NCAA Final Four team appearance. She was first team All Conference(CCAA), and was awarded the team’s most inspirational player. In her second season she was again named to the CCAA 1st team, was the recipient of the Dr. Hal Charnofsky Memorial Award, and was the team’s MVP of Offense.

Tanya now trains for beach volleyball and was an alternate for the U.S.A’s World University Beach Championship team.

Her coaching experience started in 2003 helping out at clinics for SMBC volleyball club, and running blocking clinics at Mendocino Junior College. She is currently a volunteer coach at East Los Angeles College.

Trisha White Marx

Trisha is currently the Co-Head Coach at East Los Angeles College rebuilding the team for a stronger season then the school has seen in years. She began her coaching career her sophomore year as a head coach at the Orange County Volleyball Club for a 14’s team. Trisha coached at OCBVC for three seasons until she graduated. Over the summer Trisha traveled as a coach for All American Volleyball Camps and trained high school teams in the greater northwest. Last season she began coaching for Sports Shack Volleyball Club, where she assisted the 18-2’s and 13-2’s teams. In her coaching career at club, Trisha has taken two 13's team to the Volleyball Festival in Reno, Nevada. She finished up summer 2008 coaching at the Pepperdine Volleyball Camp and Santa Monica Beach Club summer development clinic for the incoming 8th grade team.

Trisha was a standout high school and club player, earning several league, county and MVP honors. Her efforts were recognized and she played volleyball at the University of California Irvine for 4 years on a full ride scholarship. She started playing the position of middle blocker her freshmen year and was moved to an outside hitter for her sophomore and junior years. She moved back to the middle for her Senior season where she helped lead her team to beat Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (7th in the nation at the time) and Santa Barbara at the Thunderdome (Santa Barbara's gym) for the first time in the school's history. While she was there her team participated in the NCAA tournament twice. Her senior year she was named on the Stanford Invitational all-tournament team.

Trisha graduated in June of 2007 with a degree in Sociology and a double minor in Education and Digital Arts from UC Irvine.
